A320 MCDU – TO Page – Performance Pages –

2 min read

Performance Pages- Description #

Performance pages display the performance parameters for the current phase of flight. They are automatically sequenced after the takeoff phase.

The NEXT PHASE prompt provides access to subsequent flight phase pages.

The PREV PHASE prompt is available if the phase displayed is not active. The title line displays white when phase is not active; green when phase is active.

Pilots can manually sequence the FMGC into the approach phase by first selecting the ACTIVATE APPR PHASE prompt and then the CONFIRM APPR PHASE prompt which displays only on the current phase of flight performance page.

TO Page Preflight – #

V1, VR, V2 #

Allows entry of V-speeds. Amber boxes display until V-speeds are entered. In this example the V speeds have been entered.

NEXT PHASE – Provides access to Climb page – LS 6R.

Trans Alt #

Displays the transition altitude based on the departure airport. Can be modified by the pilots.

Thrust Reduction Altitude #

Displays the thrust reduction altitude. Altitudes are MSL. The minimum value is 400 feet above runway elevation. THR RED is always less than or equal to ACC altitude and can be modified by the pilots. The default value is 800 feet above runway elevation. It must be entered as a four-digit number (i.e., 900’ as 0900).

Acceleration Altitude #

Displays the acceleration altitude (altitude at which CLB phase is activated). Target speed increases to initial climb speed. Altitudes are MSL. The minimum value is 400 feet above runway elevation. It is always higher than or equal to THR RED and can be modified by the pilots. The default value is 800 feet above runway elevation. It must be entered as a four-digit number (i.e., 900’ as 0900).

When the FCU altitude selection is lower than THR RED altitude, THR RED and ACC are activated at the FCU altitude or ALT*, whichever occurs first.

Uplink TO Data #

LS 6L button when UPLINK TO DATA is displayed to upload takeoff data. This function may not not be utilized by your airline company.

F, S, Clean Speeds #

Displays F speed, S speed, and green dot speed for the predicted takeoff weight. White dashes display until airplane weight is entered on INIT page B.

Runway #

Indicates the takeoff runway selected on the active flight plan. Pilot entry is not possible through this field; runway must be entered on the flight plan page. Dashed if no runway is inserted into the flight plan.

TO Shift #

Allows pilot entry of new FMGC update position when performing an intersection takeoff. The value entered should be the distance in feet from the runway threshold to the intersection, not the distance remaining.

Flaps/THS #

Allows pilot entry for takeoff flaps. Used for display only and has no effect on FMGC computations. Stabilizer trim may or may not be entered by your company.

Flex TO Temp #

Allows FLEX (assumed) takeoff temperature insertion (entered in degrees C). If no value is entered, or if FLEX temperature is less than OAT, FLEX is not available and TO/GA must be used for takeoff.

Eng Out ACC #

Displays engine out acceleration altitude as defined in the database or if manually entered by the pilot. Used for display only.

Check TO Data Message #

Alerts pilots that the V-speeds and flex temperature have been removed from the fill-in fields. This occurs when a change to runway is made on the flight plan page

V-speed Box Prompts #

V-speeds have been moved out of the fill-in fields due to a runway change on the flight plan page.

Flex Temp Brackets #

Flex Temperature has been moved out of the fill-in fields due to a runway change on the flight plan page.
