CLB is part of MCDU PERF pages;
there is CLB preflight and CLB active.
CLB – Climb Page Preflight – #
Next/Previous Phase #
TO, Climb, Cruise, Descent, Approach, and Go Around pages can be accessed using the NEXT or PREVIOUS PHASE prompt.
PREV PHASE – Provides access to Take Off page – LS 6L.
NEXT PHASE – Provides access to Cruise page – LS 6R.

Active Mode Speed Target #
Indicates the active mode speed target in green (managed or selected). Cannot be modified through this field.
Cost Index #
Displays cost index in blue. Can be entered on INIT page A, defaulted from database, or inserted manually in this field.
Managed Speed #
Displays in green, the optimum speed in terms of time and cost index related to active flight plan, wind data, cruise altitude, and airplane gross weight.
Managed speed is limited by SPD LIM, SPD CSTR, or time constraint, if any. When managed speed is active, values display in large font.
Preselected Speed Entry #
Allows a preselected speed entry prior to acceleration altitude. The speed bug moves from V2 (managed) to the preselected speed (selected) at the acceleration altitude. The FCU SPD/MACH window displays the preselected speed. If a preselected speed was not entered, the speed bug goes to 250 knots below 10,000 feet.
Climb Page Active #
Next Phase – Climb page active #
TO, Climb, Cruise, Descent, Approach, and Go Around pages can be accessed using the NEXT PHASE prompt. Page title is a green color when flight phase is active.
Click on LS 6R to view next phase.
Click on LS 6L to activate approach phase.
Speed Target #
Current speed targets for both managed and selected speed.
Activate Approach Phase #
Appears when displayed page is active. First push causes CONFIRM APPR PHASE prompt to appear; second push activates the APPR PHASE.
If the approach phase is not confirmed, the CONFIRM APPR PHASE prompt reverts to the ACTIVATE APPR PHASE prompt when a mode key or line select key other than 6L is pushed, or if a flight phase transition occurs.
If the approach phase is activated inadvertently, reentering the CRZ FL into the PROG page restores the climb phase.
Click on LS 6L to confirm approach phase.
Confirm Approach Phase #
UTC and DEST EFOB #
Before takeoff, displays the flight time to destination and the predicted landing fuel.
After takeoff, it displays the predicted arrival time at destination (UTC) and the predicted landing fuel.
If the pilots enter an estimated takeoff time, the predicted arrival time (UTC) at destination displays automatically.
Target Altitude #
Displays the target altitude for the predictions provided in 3R, 4R, or 5R. Defaults to FCU altitude.
Can be modified to any altitude at or below the cruise flight level.
Climb Performance Predictions #
Displays predicted ETA (center field) and the distance (right side field) required to reach the altitude displayed on line 2R.
The predictions are paired to the lines on the left side of the screen. Line 3R displays predicted climb performance for ECON (managed) speed.
Line 4R displays predicted climb performance for selected speed/Mach. Line 5R displays predicted climb performance for EXP CLB.
The line corresponding to the active mode displays in large font.
