INIT – Initialization Pages – Description #
INIT pages consist of two pages, an INIT A page and INIT B page.
- INIT A page is selected by pressing the INIT key.
- INIT B page page is accessed by selecting the horizontal slew key when the INIT A page is displayed (depicted illustration).

Flight Plan is normally loaded by the datalink function via the ACARS. If an ACARS AUTO INIT* has been accomplished, the Flight Plan will automatically be loaded. The runways, departure and arrival are not loaded automatically.
If the ACARS AUTO INIT* was not used, the INIT REQUEST* prompt on the INIT A page can be used to uplink the Flight Plan.
If the datalink function fails, a manual entry is required. Load the city pair on the INIT A page and then load the Flight Plan.
