Cruise Page Preflight #
Next/Previous Phase #
TO, Climb, Cruise, Descent, Approach, and Go Around pages can be accessed using the NEXT or PREVIOUS PHASE prompt. Page title is a green color when flight phase is active.
PREV PHASE – Provides access to Climb page – LS 6L.
NEXT PHASE – Provides access to Descent page – LS 6R.
Managed Speed #
Computed by the FMGC based on cost index.
Presel #
If cruise phase is active, field is blank. If cruise phase is not active, a preselected entry is possible as a SPD or MACH number.
Descent Cabin Rate #
Displays defaulted value for cabin altitude descent rate. Can be modified.
Cruise Page Active #
TO, Climb, Cruise, Descent, Approach, and Go Around pages can be accessed using the NEXT PHASE prompt. Page title is a green color when flight phase is active.
Next Phase #
Click on LS 6R to view next phase.
Click on LS 6L to activate approach phase.
Activate Approach Phase #
Appears when displayed page is active. First push causes CONFIRM APPR PHASE prompt to appear; second push activates the APPR PHASE.
If the approach phase is not confirmed, the CONFIRM APPR PHASE prompt reverts to the ACTIVATE APPR PHASE prompt when a mode key or line select key other than 6L is pushed, or if a flight phase transition occurs.
If the approach phase is activated inadvertently, reentering the CRZ FL into the PROG page restores the climb phase.
Click on LS 6L to confirm approach phase.
Confirm Approach Phase #
After CONFIRM APPR PHASE prompt appears; second push activates the APPR PHASE.
If the approach phase is not confirmed, the CONFIRM APPR PHASE prompt reverts to the ACTIVATE APPR PHASE prompt when a mode key or line select key other than 6L is pushed, or if a flight phase transition occurs.

Act Mode #
Current speed mode for the cruise computation, either managed or selected.
Cost Index #
Pilot-entered cost index. Typically 0 to 100 cost index is used.
Computed Speed #
Computed managed and selected speed.
Time and distance to the top of descent is computed for each speed with selected speed active and only managed speed with managed speed active.
