Fuel Control Panel is part of A320 Overhead panel

Wing Tank Pump Switches #

ON – ON is indicated when all lights are extinguished on associated wing tank pump switch. ON energizes the associated fuel tank pump. Pressure relief sequence valves ensure center tank fuel feeds before wing tank fuel.

OFF – Selecting OFF deactivates associated wing tank pump and illuminates the OFF light on the associated switch.

FAULT – FAULT lights illuminate amber when wing fuel tank pump pressure is low. Fault lights are inhibited when OFF is selected.

Fuel Cross Feed Switch #

Fuel Cross Feed Switch

ON – Selecting ON opens the cross feed valve and the ON light illuminates white.

OPEN – When the cross feed valve is fully open the OPEN light illuminates green.

OFF – Selecting OFF closes the cross feed valve and no lights are illuminated.

Center Fuel Tank Pump Switches #

Center Fuel Tank Pump Switch

ON – ON is indicated when all lights are extinguished on the center fuel tank pump switches.

FAULT – The amber FAULT light comes on when the associated center tank pump is in operation and the delivery pressure drops to less than normal.

If MODE SEL switch is selected to MAN, the associated center tank pump is activated regardless of flap position or fuel quantity.

If MODE SEL switch is selected to AUTO this allows automatic operation of the center fuel tank pumps.

If the center tank is supplying fuel, the wing tanks tend to overfill; therefore, the center tank pump is automatically selected off when the inner WING tank is full. The wing tank supplies the engine fuel until approximately 1100 pounds of fuel is used, and then the center tank pump resumes operation.

AUTO – #

When the Mode SEL switch’s lights are extinguished, the switch is selected to automatic. If there is fuel in the center tank, the center tank pumps run except when the slats are extended. The pumps automatically turn off 5 minutes after center tank low level is reached.

Regardless of slat position, both center tank pumps run (if there is fuel in the tank) for 2 minutes after each engine reaches idle to verify operation.

MAN – #

Allows manual control of center tank pumps using the CTR TK PUMP switches. The MAN light illuminates white color when selected to MAN.

FAULT – #

The MODE SEL FAULT Light illuminates amber when the center fuel tank contains more than 550 pounds of fuel and the left or right wing fuel tank contains less than 11,000 pounds.
